delicate

she shines so delicately in the morning sunrise

a smile so misused, hoping none take notice

breathing in the memories of each promise

that have somehow been misplaced

and they fall, as soft as the dew

plunging into the greenest blades

diamonds shattering in the forest

she plucked every last dandelion

wishing and praying on each subtle blow

[unrequited love]

waiting,

and it stings
